Lakeside State Park is easily overlooked by visitors attracted to the sandy beach and accessible swimming at the nearby Hamlin Beach State Park. Although this 743 acre lakefront park offers an excellent panoramic view of Lake Ontario and 274 campsites (some with beautiful lake views), it lacks a public swimming area.

It is a huge park with lots and lots of grass! That being said, there may be too much grass. It seems that is all the poor maintenance folks do is mow the grass.
