Joseph Mangine was a director of photography. His most notable works include the 1980 horror-comedy Alligator and its 1991 sequel Alligator II: The Mutation. He also worked on episodes of the 1990 Swamp Thing television series.

Throughout the 1970s and 80s, Mangine worked as a cinematographer with credits on a good many films, including the likes of Cinderella (1977), Alligator (1980), Mother’s Day (1980), Alone in the Dark (1982), The Sword and the Sorcerer (1982) and Alligator II: The Mutation (1991), along with a number of adult films.

Joe was born at home on Melbourne St in Naugatuck on May 30, 1925, the oldest son of the late Dominick Mangine and Angeline (Marinacco) Mangine.
