Sep 18, 2008 · Lin Bolen is sort of a despised figure in the classic game show community. When she came to NBC in the early 70s, she wanted desperately to youth-up the game show lineup and as such, made her hosts ditch formal wear for more casual clothes, have long, wild hair (even Bill Cullen had the long hair), and replaced some older shows with newer material.
