Neverwas is a destruction of fantasy that takes a few nods from Don Quixote, but comes to the opposite conclusion. Eckhart is decent, Murphy has a youthful enthusiasm & McKellen acts circles around everyone else; yet the end was the only compelling part.

Neverwas: Book II of the Amber House Trilogy is a mixed-up, mashed-up composite of time travel, ghost story and “what if”…..in the most phenomenal way possible. As her new home, Amber House does not give Sarah the comforting vibe she’d grown accustomed to when visiting the estate-in-the-family-since-the-1600s.
Neverwas is a happy movie without being insipid, and whimsical without being unbelievable or over done. It's perfect, in my opinion. You couldn't ask for a film with more imagination, and I think anyone would be delighted by it.
