One of the oldest academic societies for educating undergrads. St Edmunds has a long history as an academic institution dating back to possibly 1190 and definitely to 1236. It was incorporated into Oxford University in the 1950's. It admitted women in 1978.
St Edmund Hall is in the centre of Oxford, a few steps from the Botanical Gardens and with good bus links to the train station and Park & Ride facilities.
