Sept 2023 • Couples. Nelson's Column is a monument paying tribute to that great British Admiral Horatio Nelson, after his death at the Battle of Trafalgar. The Column was erected in 1809 in Place Jacques-Cartier, in what is now Old Montreal. It’s located at the high end of the Square and is visible from quite a distance.
