Jun 12, 2017 · 4 Reviews written. 🎧 15 years. @ steelyfan , This was done an a DM4800 run through the converters twice. 80-90% outboard eq, comp during tracking and, 10% subtractive in DAW, prolly 5-10% during mixing, mastering.
Feb 3, 2013 · DM4800+X48+RA1000. Jan 25, 2023. #1. I am sorry to say I am giving up on my DM. I have loved this board since I took it out of the box. Used mainly as an interface/control surface for pro tools. I have upgraded my Mac to an M2 silicone.

Sep 30, 2023 · I had some more questions about the tascam dm-4800, we are thinking of getting 2 of them and linking them together, and based on your experience with a single desk, how do you think it will work with 2? will the outboard meters show the same thing, or will they show what each desk is attempting to display?
Feb 7, 2007 · I have heard very mixed reviews about this board. I was strongly considering getting one myself. I have heard the preamps are useable, nothing great, but not bad. However, I have also heard that the board functions in a very unintuitive way, and takes a lot of getting used to.
It is a digital 64-channel console with 48 channels with full process equalizer, compressor, gate etc ... Works by layer 24 and has 12 auxiliary buses. You can work up to the 96-bit 24 khz. The type of synchronization can be MTC or LTC.
Nov 11, 2007 · 1 Review written. 🎧 10 years. The pre's don't suck, they are just neutral. The conversion is easily on par with RME gear, so not bad but not pristine. Hang some outboard gear off it and the quality is more than reasonable. Numerous commercial releases have been produced on these consoles so they can't be bad.
