Sep 8, 2022 · The Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing has received the Regional Municipality of Halton’s Regional Official Plan Amendment 49 for a decision. This amendment contains new policies to guide growth and development within the Region to the year 2041 and establishes a framework to plan for growth to the year 2051.
A local official plan sets out a vision, goals and objectives and includes policy to guide land use decisions in cities and towns. Burlington (external link), Halton Hills (external link), Milton (external link) and Oakville (external link) have official plans to address local land use issues.
