Jun 19, 2023 · Effective today, June 19 th, 2023, the Winnipeg Police Service will be implementing a new criminal records check system to enhance the online application experience and reduce the need for citizens attending in person for record checks.
This system allows you to apply for a police record check 24 hours a day without having to attend our facility. All aspects of the process - including verification of your identification, fee payment and completed police record check results certificate - are handled electronically.

The criminal record check application can now be completed online and sent directly to the Winnipeg Police Service (WPS). The applicant no longer needs to go to a police station and complete an application. The online process is much faster and more efficent.
WPS assists with online police record check applications at Police Headquarters located at 245 Smith Street (main entrance off Graham Avenue) Monday to Friday 8 a.m.- 3:30 p.m. Closed holidays. All record checks will be processed utilizing our online record system and the results will be sent to you by email.

Our Enhanced Criminal Record Check, also known as a Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC), captures not only convictions but also flag outstanding warrants, charges and judicial orders. Service Price: $55 CAD + tax, for online applications. In-person application prices vary.
