It's true. Because I eat this cereal daily and am picky about the texture, I buy Red River and the Rogers alternative and use 1/2 of each when I make my cereal. It gets the texture about as close to what it used to be as possible. Perhaps there is an opportunity for a Canadian company to make the original Red River formulation that we all miss.

Sep 10, 2024 · The $174 River 2 refurb in the other thread definitely a better deal still. Reviews on eBay say they're basically new units. Now the plus version with the new data communication and USB hookup to be like a UPS with a PC for proper shutdown that is cool and warrants an upgrade for people looking for that.
