Founded as Arkansas Industrial University in 1871, classes were first held in 1872, with its present name adopted in 1899.

The University of Arkansas houses more than 200 academic programs and offers bachelor’s degrees in more than 75 areas of study. Students may also pursue a wide range of graduate degrees, including the Master’s, the Educational Specialist, the Doctor of Education, and the Doctor of Philosophy.
From there, you can apply for admission, track your application status, apply for scholarships, and register for orientation. The Fall 2025 application opens July 15th, 2024. The in-state application fee is $40. The out-of-state application fee is $55.
