Dimitri Athanitis is an outstanding Greek film director with more than 60 awards for his films and references and critics for his work worldwide. He is a member of the European Film Academy, founding member and first Secretary of the board of the Hellenic Film Academy, ex president of the Greek Directors Producers Uninon .
Through mostly silent excerpts of six of his films, Athanitis approaches the multiple function of the gaze as a main compositional element of the cinematic world, as a carrier of the cinematic journey, but also approches the special position of the viewer.
