As a youth I was a professional dancer performing with the Ukrainian Shumka Dancers and eventually took up competing as a nationally ranked pairs figure skater. Due to an injury, I was forced to retire from skating and went to work with Royal Caribbean Cruises Lines which led to my passion for travel.
