The Broadcasting Authority of Ireland (BAI; Irish: Údarás Craolacháin na hÉireann) is a former broadcasting authority which regulated both public and commercial broadcasting sector in Ireland. It was established in 2009, effectively replacing the Broadcasting Commission of Ireland (BCI) (Irish: Coimisiún Craolacháin na hÉireann).

Mar 15, 2023 · The OSMR Act 2022 amends the Broadcasting Act 2009 to establish Coimisiún na Meán, dissolve the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland, establish a regulatory framework for online safety, update the regulation of broadcasting and video on-demand services, and transpose the revised Audiovisual Media Services Directive into Irish law.
