Dec 14, 2023 · The Philadelphia High School for Creative and Performing Arts (CAPA) is a criterion-based school. Qualifying criteria include: As, Bs, and ONE C, 90% attendance or higher, and qualifying PSSA scores (minimum of 50% Math and 50% in ELA). Students MUST have standardized test scores.
The Philadelphia High School for Creative and Performing Arts (CAPA) prepares students to be college and career ready by providing a rigorous academic and creative experience that allows variously talented students to deeply explore artistic skill sets and scholarly disciplines in a diverse, inclusive, safe and antiracist environment.
In a multicultural environment, CAPA provides a comprehensive and sequenced program of study in six arts disciplines: creative writing, dance, theater, instrumental music, vocal music, and visual arts, as well as a rigorous pre-college academic program across the curriculum.
