Peet Brothers Soap Company of Kansas City merged into Palmolive two years before the merger with Colgate. The merger combined the three oldest and largest soap and perfumery companies in the US and was effective July 1, 1928. The combined company was named the "Colgate Palmolive Peet Company".

The Peet Brothers Manufacturing Company was founded in 1872 by William J. & Robert Peet in Kansas City, Kansas. Its industry was soaps and its headquarters remained in Kansas City, Kansas. It merged with the Palmolive Company in 1926, and two years later, it merged with Colgate & Company.
Robert Peet along with his brothers William and Jesse came to the US from England in 1862 and eventually founded the Peet Brothers Manufacturing Company in Kansas City. One of the main products of the company was soap and it was bought by Colgate Palmolive and became Colgate Palmolive Peet Company.
