Richard Edward Cottrell (September 4, 1944 – January 1, 2024), professionally known as Mickey Cottrell, was an American Hollywood film publicist, independent film producer and occasional actor, known for his work on My Own Private Idaho, Volcano, and Ed Wood.

Mickey Cottrell (4 September 1944 – 1 January 2024; age 79) was the actor, producer, and publicist who played Alrik in the Star Trek: The Next Generation fifth season episode "The Perfect Mate" and Dumah in the Star Trek: Voyager fourth season episode "The Raven".
He filmed his scenes for the former on Monday 24 February 1992 and Tuesday 25 February 1992 on Paramount Stage 8, 9, and 16. He filmed his scenes for "The Raven" on Monday 21 July 1997 and Tuesday 22 July 1997 on Paramount Stage 8. His costumes from both episodes were later sold off on the It's A Wrap! sale and auction on eBay.
In early 2016, Cottrell suffered from a stroke and was expected to have a complex surgery and extensive physical therapy.
Cottrell died on New Years Day 2024 after being diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. He was 79 years old.
