Stephen Maynard Clark (23 April 1960 – 8 January 1991) was an English musician. He was a guitarist and songwriter for the hard rock band Def Leppard until his death in 1991. In 2007, Clark was ranked No. 11 on Classic Rock Magazine's "100 Wildest Guitar Heroes".
About Steve. Steve gained attention across Canada in 1982 when, at the age of 22 and just out of university, he was elected Mayor of the City of Brockville. This gained him the title of Youngest Mayor of Canada and a notation in the Who’s Who of Canada.

Steve joined Def Leppard after being introduced to the band by Pete Willis. One of Steve’s nicknames was “the Riffmaster”, which he earned after coming up with the most original guitar riffs in Def Leppard’s history (and the music history in general), over and over again.
