Derwig is sinds 2019 voice-over voor de natuurserie Het echte leven in de dierentuin van de NTR, opgenomen in Ouwehands Dierenpark in Rhenen en Diergaarde Blijdorp in Rotterdam. Hij was ook voice-over voor de documentaireserie De Wasstraat (2021).

Jacob Derwig is a Dutch film and television actor. In 2003 he married actress Kim van Kooten; they have a son Roman and a daughter Kee Molly. Derwig has been part of the ensemble of Dutch theatre company Toneelgroep Amsterdam since 2005.
