Peter Julian Curtin (31 January 1944 – 19 May 2014) was an Australian television and stage actor, whose career began when he joined the Melbourne Theatre Company, appearing in The Plough and the Stars with Wendy Hughes.
Peter Kürten (German: [ˈpeːtɐ ˈkʏʁtn̩]; 26 May 1883 – 2 July 1931) was a German serial killer, known as "The Vampire of Düsseldorf" and the "Düsseldorf Monster", who committed a series of murders and sexual assaults between February and November 1929 in the city of Düsseldorf.

Curtin starred in a number of Melbourne Theatre Company productions, from The Plough opposite Wendy Hughes in 1973 to a later revival of Ray Lawler's Summer of the Seventeenth Doll, over a career spanning more than 40 years.
