CORONATION Street legend Geoffrey Hughes has died at the age of 68 after a battle with prostate cancer. The actor was probably best known as garbo Eddie Yates in the soap but also had prominent roles in Keeping Up Appearances, Heartbeat and The Royle Family. He passed away "peacefully in his sleep" on Friday night, his agent told The Sun.
