Erich Kühnhackl (born 17 October 1950) is a German former professional ice hockey player, born and raised in Czechoslovakia. He is one of the all-time greats of German ice hockey and was named Germany's ice hockey player of the 20th century in 2000.

Erich Kühnhackl was the best recognized German ice hockey center in the 1970s and 80s. Born in Czechoslovakia his family moved to Landshut directly after the Warsaw Pact Troops marched into Czechoslavakia to start the Czechoslovakian crisis (The Prague Spring).
