Ottakar's was a chain of bookshops in the United Kingdom founded in 1987 by James Heneage. Following a takeover by the HMV Group in 2006, the chain was merged into the Waterstone's brand.
Ottokar was the second son of King Wenceslaus I of Bohemia (reigned 1230–1253). Through his mother, Kunigunde, daughter of Philip of Swabia, he was related to the Holy Roman Emperors of the Hohenstaufen dynasty, which became extinct in the male line upon the execution of King Conradin of Sicily in 1268.

1 review of Ottakar's "I was so excited when it was originally announced that this shop was coming to Grimsby because our house loves books. In general I am still pretty grateful for them coming but there are a few bugbears to contend with. The store is fairly large - but not as large as some others in the chain in other towns and cities.
