Steven Andrew Tananbaum (born 1964 or 1965) is an American hedge fund manager. He is the chief investment officer of GoldenTree Asset Management, which he founded in 2000. He manages the firm's investment team and oversees the executive committee.
Steven Richard Tanenbaum died peacefully on Tuesday, June 25th after a prolonged illness. He is survived by his children Eva Jeanne, Jack and Eli, his former wife Andrea, and his sister Sharon (wife Matty, nephew Jesse). Amongst others, he will be missed by his mother-in-law Shirley Levyn and the extended Levyn/Goldbergs families.
