Kutafin Moscow State Law University (MSAL) (Russian: Московский государственный юридический университет имени О. Е. Кутафина) is a coeducational and public research university located in Moscow, Russia. It was founded in 1931.
The Faculty of Law of Moscow State University is the large centre of highly qualified legal training in Russia. It is the oldest faculty functioning from the University’s foundation in 1755. Professors of the Faculty conduct broad research in different areas of law.
The university includes 15 research institutes, 43 faculties, more than 300 departments, and six branches (including five foreign ones in the Commonwealth of Independent States countries). Alumni of the university include past leaders of the Soviet Union and other governments.
