Mar 31, 2020 · Hour of the Assassin is a really interesting, easy-to-read, entertaining, political thriller. It almost reads like a political, espionage TV drama, similar to a more readable Tom Clancy story. There were detailed parts that were a bit over my head, mostly a case of me getting lost in the obscurity of the details, but it was nonetheless a clever, gripping, intriguing, well-written thriller.

Hour of the Assassin is the first book written by Matthew Quirk that I have read and it was an enjoyable fast moving action thriller set in the USA. The main character tests out the security for high profile individuals but his latest task is not what it seems and he ends up in the middle of a conspiracy that goes to the very highest levels.
