  2. Synopsis. Thibon, a resourceful Parisian postman, enlists for the French-Indochina War and is sent to Cambodia. He soon becomes disenchanted with the war, however, and is injured in a mine explosion. Thibon is released from the infirmary, and his regiment receives orders to defend Dien Bien Phu, but the group is captured by the Communists.
