Brief Synopsis. Read More. After working for the same boss on the stock exchange for twenty-five years, the elderly Sipho retires. He decides to start selling live chickens on the black market in the township, in the hope of one day being able to return to the stock market as an investor to make his fortune. But he still has.
Chikin Biznis is a comedy tracing the antics of a middle aged man Sipho, who, frustrated by his job, decides to start his own business selling chickens. His entry into the Soweto world of business upsets the status quo and Sipho soon ruffles a few feathers.
The films he directed include Chikin Biznis: The Whole Story! in 1998 for M-Net South Africa, The Wooden Camera (2003) which won the Crystal Bear at the Berlinale for Best Youth film, and Elelwani (2012). Ntshaveni Wa Luruli also lectured in Screenwriting at the Film and Television School of Dramatic Arts at the University of Witwatersrand.
