Club Paradise is a 1986 American comedy film directed by Harold Ramis and starring Robin Williams, Twiggy, Peter O'Toole and Jimmy Cliff. Set in a fictional Caribbean banana republic, it follows a group of vacationers' attempts to create a luxury resort from a seedy nightclub, and the series of events that take place.
Robin Williams stars as a fireman who wins a settlement and opens a resort in the Caribbean, but his comedy act fails to impress. The movie suffers from a weak script, a lack of character development and a disjointed plot, according to Ebert.
A burned-out fireman and a reggae singer turn a run down tropical island into a resort paradise for a group of unsuspecting, affluent tourists. Subtitles: English.
