Ma and Pa Kettle Go to Town is a 1950 American comedy film directed by Charles Lamont. It is the second installment of Universal-International's Ma and Pa Kettle series starring Marjorie Main and Percy Kilbride.
Apr 25, 2023 · When Pa Kettle (Percy Kilbride) wins a trip to New York City, he and Ma (Marjorie Main) need a babysitter for their 15 kids. Fugitive "Shotgun" Mike Munger (Charles McGraw), pretending to be a poet, offers to take care of the kids if the naive Kettles will drop off a package for him in New York.

Ma and Pa Kettle Go to Paris was ultimately released as Ma and Pa Kettle on Vacation; Ma and Pa Kettle Hit the Road Home became Ma and Pa Kettle at Home. Kilbride retired after the latter film in 1953, primarily from boredom with the character, as well as health concerns.
