Robert Brunning (29 June 1943 – 18 October 2011) was a British musician who was, as a small part of a long musical career, the original bass guitar player with the blues rock band Fleetwood Mac.

Nov 2, 2011 · Bob Brunning sadly passes away aged 68. Published 2nd Nov 2011. Brunning joined Fleetwood Mac when John McVie initially turned down Peter Green's offer to join the band in 1967. When McVie later decided to take up Green's offer, Brunning stepped aside and the first classic incarnation of Fleetwood Mac was born.
