Valerie Jean Foushee (/ f u ˈ ʃ iː / foo-SHEE; née Paige; born May 7, 1956) is an American politician serving as the U.S. representative for North Carolina's 4th congressional district since 2023 as a member of the Democratic Party.
In Congress, Valerie serves on the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure, and is the Vice Ranking Member of the Railroads, Pipelines, and Hazardous Materials Subcommittee and a member of the Highways and Transit Subcommittee.

Valerie Foushee is a life-long resident of Orange County and a 1974 graduate of Chapel Hill High School, as well as a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Ms. Foushee retired from the Chapel Hill Police Department after 21 years of service.
