The Sports Center also includes the Jacobs Fitness Center, the Reeves Aquatic Center, a mini-mall, the campus store, and a 470-car, seven-level parking garage.

Named for Howard and Sondra Bender, whose donations helped fund the arena, Bender opened in 1988 and has served as the Eagles’ home venue ever since.
Located in the Sports Center, Bender Arena is host to a variety of events on campus including Commencement and athletic games. Members, who can access the arena through the Jacobs Fitness Center, have access to drop-in for basketball and other court activities during open court hours.

Bender Arena. One of the most stupidest thing about American University is if you cheer for the visiting team and you are louder than the home team, then the security guard will ask you to move to the side sections. You are also not allow to show visiting team's flag.
