Vidin (Bulgarian: Видин) is a city in the north-west corner of Bulgaria. It's a minor port on the river Danube which separates Bulgaria and Romania, and a major border crossing due to the Vidin- Calafat bridge - the second "hard" connection between the two countries, opened in 2013.
