Academic Programme. The Faculty of Agriculture was established in 2001 with the aim of developing sustainable agricultural systems particularly focused on the production environment of the Dry Zone of Sri Lanka utilizing rural farm settings and natural resources effectively.
The Faculty of Agricultural Sciences constituted the Department of plantation Management, Horticultural Sciences and Food Technology and Agricultural Engineering. A three year general degree in Agricultural Science was offered.

Faculty of Agriculture, Rajarata University of Sri Lanka was established in 2001 at Puliyankulama, about three kilometers (03) away from the ancient city of Anuradhapura and about ten (10) kilometers away from Mihintale where the main administration building complex is located.
This course will equip you with the specialist knowledge and skills needed by governments, NGOs, commercial companies, and farms as they respond to some of today's biggest challenges within the agriculture and food sectors.
