AL GREEN’S DRIVE IN. A hang-out for everyone from 8 to 88. Not only food, they had a movie screen where they showed movies. Al Green’s was well known for the size of their tenderloins. We used to buy a bag of buns on the way and the tenderloins were large enough to make about 3 or 4 more sandwiches. 3DTour_AlGreens.mov.

May 21, 2008 · Al Green’s was a popular Eastside hangout until it dwindled in the late 60s, continued on in a moribund state for another 30 years, then died in the early 90s. On one level it’s the story of a WWII soldier returning home to start a very successful family business.
