The New Westminster Bridge (also known as the New Westminster Rail Bridge (NSRW) or the Fraser River Swing Bridge) is a swing bridge that crosses the Fraser River and connects New Westminster with Surrey, British Columbia, Canada.
The Pattullo Bridge is a key connection between the communities of Surrey and New Westminster. The new toll-free four-lane bridge will provide important improvements for everyone using the bridge, including people who are driving, cycling or walking, as well as communities on either side of the bridge.
The new replacement Pattullo Bridge between New Westminster and Surrey will now open in Fall 2025 instead of 2024.

Apr 1, 2021 · Progress update on Pattullo Bridge replacement. Preliminary in-river work began in February 2021 on the new toll-free Pattullo Bridge replacement. This staged work marks the beginning of the project to build a new, modern bridge to connect New Westminster and Surrey.
May 28, 2024 · Pattullo Bridge replacement project delayed another year. The new crossing between New Westminster and Surrey was originally planned to open in 2023 – but it’s now been pushed back to 2025.
