RBMG Records. Raymond Braun Media Group, abbreviated as RBMG, is an American record label founded by R&B singer Usher (whose surname is Raymond) and talent manager Scooter Braun in 2008 as a joint venture.
The group also included RBMG, a joint venture between Braun and Usher. School Boy Records was founded as a joint venture with Universal Music Publishing Group. In early 2013, Braun signed Ariana Grande. As of August 2023, Braun no longer managed Grande, Lovato, and Idina Menzel.
A private equity firm founded by a Black woman now owns the rights to part of Justin Bieber’s music catalog — thanks to Usher. Usher has been a longtime mentor of Bieber and signed the singer in 2008 to the label he and veteran talent agent Scooter Braun founded, RBMG.
