University of St Andrews Golf Club. Founded in 1855, the University Golf Club is one of the oldest sports clubs at the University. Saints Golf has opportunities for all members of golf so that we can all experience the Home of Golf in some way.
The 600 Club was formed in 2013 during the University’s 600-year anniversary celebrations to support the growth and development of the Saints Golf Programme. Our supporters club offers a way for former players, friends, and family to stay connected and help sustain the long and distinguished history of golf at the University.
The performance golf programme is incredibly fortunate to be able to use the world renowned St Andrews Links Golf Academy as their practice base. Situated adjacent to the Old Course and only a few minutes’ walk from town it provides the ideal venue for students to work on their games.

The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews was founded on 14 May 1754, with the first Challenge for the Silver Club. Evolving over 250 colourful years of British history, it has grown from a small society into a club with 2,500 members worldwide.
