Overview. A nun, played by Kristin Scott Thomas, leaves the convent temporarily to help save her family knitting mill from bankruptcy following the death of her brother.
Season 1. Anna has been a nun for 16 years when her brother dies, and Mother Superior sends her to help his widow for a week. She finds Lynn despondent and the mill on the verge of failure. Anna returns to the convent but Lynn arranges another visit and tries to convince her to stay.
