Bottom Feeder starts as scientist Dr. Nathaniel Leech (James Binkley) meets up with his rich billionaire benefactor Charles Deaver (Richard Fitzpatrick) who has been funding his experiments into a serum called A12 which is supposed to regenerate dead cells.
A group of utility workers are trapped in a series of tunnels which, unfortunately, contain a scientist mutated by his own creation. The creature feeds instantly on a rat, becoming what it has...
Bottom Feeder has some decent practical effects work and a decent monster design but for a premise about some maintenance workers being attacked by a mutant rat-man in an underground network of tunnels, it falls flat with its mediocre story and pacing.

So naturally, he finds time to chow down on a rat. He's now the Bottom Feeder. He wants to eat Tom Sizemore so he can turn into a real man.
