Natalie Zea wears a succession of super form-fitted power suits while she pretends to be a detective. Nothing too wrong there I guess, but the whole film seems a bit implausible. Her husband dies early on and she gets over him with one drink in the bar and that's the last she remembers him.
The focus of "Burden of Evil" is on the dedicated police detective Caitlyn Conner, who is on the trail of a serial killer and kidnapper named Kyle Randall. But there is an interesting array of characters and a lot of evil to spread around in this well-produced thriller.
