The campground's nature center houses environmental displays. On weekends, park staff lead hikes and activities. Summer visitors particularly enjoy hitting the beach, boating, fishing, biking, hiking, hunting, picnicking, and camping. Winter visitors sled, snowmobile, ice fish, and cross-country ski.
The park has a beach, boat launch, boat rentals, a nature trail, a bridle path for horses, concessions, a picnic area with tables and pavilions. The scenic campground, formed along the park's natural rock ridges, provides alcoves of privacy and tranquility. Each campsite has a picnic table, fire ring and a barbeque grill.
Nearby attractions include Hudson Highlands State Park, Taconic Outdoor Education Center, Franklin D. Roosevelt State Park, John Jay Homestead State Historic Site, and James Baird State Park.
Camping fees vary depending on location, dates and amenities. Campsite fees range from $15 - $35 per night. Cabins, Cottages, Yurts range from $154 - $1,920 per week. Additional Fee for Out-of-State patrons: Campsites: $5 per night. Cabins, Cottages, Yurts: $28 per week or $7 per night.
