K9 Safe Space was a project that started in 2021, when a little white dog was found wandering the country roads of Perth County in Ontario. No owner could be located, so she was dropped at a nearby horse farm that often took in rescue horses.
K9 Safe Space is designed as a safe haven for ‘retired’ breeding dogs and dogs/puppies at risk of being euthanized. We are a foster based rescue, which means all of our dogs go from life in a kennel or barn to living in a home and learning how to be a pet and companion.

I volunteer with a rescue group ( K9 Safe Space) that saves dogs from puppy mills; dogs that have had little to no contact with grass, collars, leashes, or playing. If you had been penned and neglected for 5 years of your life, trust would probably be the last thing you’d dole out to anyone.
