Michael Thomson (born 23 August 1960) is an Australian news presenter and journalist. He is currently the presenter of Nine News Perth on weeknights at 6:00 pm and the national late-night news bulletin on Mondays to Thursdays.

Dorothy Celene Thompson (July 9, 1893 – January 30, 1961) was an American journalist and radio broadcaster. She was the first American journalist to be expelled from Nazi Germany in 1934 and was one of the few women news commentators broadcasting on radio during the 1930s.
Career as a producer. Thompson was formerly a creative partner in NEXT entertainment with Mike Fleiss. Together they were responsible for a number of successful specials for Fox, and Thompson was the first person to pitch The Bachelor to ABC, though he credits Fleiss with the idea itself.
