The Prince of Wales (later King Edward VII) acquired Sandringham in 1862 and had several houses built the following year, including Park House and York Cottage.

Park House, 115 miles from London, is easily accessible by main roads. King’s Lynn station is eight miles away and on the line from King’s Cross. Local firm Steve’s Taxis (01485 540019) provides an excellent, friendly and fully accessible service.
