Dewey's father is a criminal and has served time in prison. His father has never left Kentucky. Dewey was dumb as a bag of hammers but there was something about him that you couldn't help but love a little. He wasn't cut out for the life of a bad man but he was born into the wrong family, in the wrong place and in the wrong time. It also shocked me that he was so callously murdered by Boyd.
