A very large, well-maintained site, navigable by car, on the northern edge of Hamilton Bay. It was opened in November 1921 and includes three areas of remembrance. It is a Commonwealth War Graves Commission Cemetery featuring a war memorial and Field of Honour.

Hamilton Woodland Cemetery borders the Hamilton Harbour. From downtown Hamilton, follow York Boulevard past Hamilton Cemetery, across the bridge, and turn right at Plains Road. Exit Plains Road at Spring Gardens Road. Follow Spring Gardens and the cemetery will be on your left.
