The CRA has resumed its work to address taxpayer debt. Tax refunds, benefit and credit payments may be applied to pay outstanding balances. You can check the status of your benefits by logging into your CRA My Account. Contact the CRA if debt repayment causes you financial hardship. To make your account more secure, email addresses in My Account are now required
As of February 7, 2022, all My Account users will need to have an email address on file with the CRA to help protect their online accounts from fraudulent activity. If you do not currently have an email address on file, you will be prompted to provide one when you sign in.
