Jun 20, 2018 · We just picked up our 29RLDS and the dealer put on the Equal-i-zer Hitch. When we got home, I couldn't swing out the spring bars. They were so tight that I had to pull them away from the hitched position using my Kabota tractor. I would assume, this is not normal.
May 22, 2011 · If the trailer just moves around a little then that is normal. Also, I do not think that the 1000lb and 1200lb bars are interchangeable on the same hitch head. Measure the diameter of the bars to double check that they are the same width. The bars should fit like a glove inside the sockets.
Weight-distributing devices use rigid torsion bars to more evenly distribute the weight of the load being towed and use chain or brackets to adjust and reduce the weight on the hitch and transfer it to the trailer axle(s).

Apr 15, 2015 · My Equal-i-zer brand is a 1,000 lbs version as evidenced by the label on the bars which read 90-00-1000 and 1,000 max tongue weight and 10,000 max trailer weight. The hitch has "C1" molded on the head near one of the bar pivot bolt heads.
